As a global non-profit organization (NGO), all of our staff members exhibit some cultural sensitivity and value the various viewpoints and methods that are pertinent to the MSC program.
According to the MSC, seafood supplies should be protected for present and future generations, and the world’s oceans should be brimming with life. The ocean and fish stocks are now even more at risk from the effects of overfishing and climate change. Throughout the seafood supply chain, sustainably managed fisheries are acknowledged and rewarded through our globally renowned certification and ecolabelling program. The MSC program currently involves over 700 fisheries worldwide, accounting for 19% of the world’s yearly marine catch, and seafood products bearing the MSC certification and label are now sold in more than 66 nations. Our goal is to eradicate overfishing through collaborations and teamwork.
